2023 marks 50 years of Hip Hop music and culture, so I wanted to put out a release to celebrate and pay homage to the culture that has shaped my life. I made all the beats in two days and got in touch with Unc to see if he would be down for collaborating, which he was. Initially I had no intention of rapping on this project (or ever again), but I'd been spending time with a couple cats called Sam & Aiden who had sparked the rap fire inside me after many years of it laying dormant. Then Unc sent me back a verse he'd written for FLIPPIN ECK, which immediately made me pick up the pen and write a verse. Before I knew it, I'd written for each track and it was a full on joint EP. I really respect and appreciate Unc for jumping on this one with me, as if he hadn't you wouldn't be reading this now!
